There are three songs on this EP. One’s prompted by thinking about a son finding his way beyond the masks often worn by those around him; the second’s prompted by a daughter being ratted on, and the third is Richard wondering what the point of it all is and concluding that there actually is none. The EP is a lot cheerier and uplifting than that description makes it sound. Synths and guitar processors have been used with reckless abandon and the kitchen sink was spared from the end of ‘She’s Up and Gone’.
